Welcome to my Privacy Policy! I’m going to be honest with you: I don’t really collect much data, and I’m not entirely sure what I’d do with it if I did. But here’s what I know (or think I know) about privacy on this site.
What Data I Collect (Spoiler: Not Much)
Let me be transparent: I don’t have Google Analytics, Facebook pixels, or any of that tracking nonsense. I do use Rybbit, a privacy-friendly analytics tool, to get a rough sense of how many people visit and which pages are popular. Rybbit doesn’t use cookies, doesn’t fingerprint you, and doesn’t build a profile of you. It just counts visits in an anonymized way. I’m not trying to stalk you. I’m just curious whether anyone actually reads these pages.
The hosting provider probably collects some basic server logs (like your IP address, what pages you visit, etc.). I don’t actively look at these logs unless something breaks. And even then, I’m mostly just trying to figure out why the site crashed, not stalk you.
Cookies (The Digital Kind, Not the Chocolate Chip Kind)
This site uses no cookies at all. The analytics tool I use (Rybbit) is cookieless by design, and there’s nothing else here that needs to store anything in your browser. No tracking, no profiling, no selling your data to advertisers.
How I Use Your Information (Hint: I Don’t)
If you contact me through the email link on this site, I’ll see your email address. That’s about it. I’ll use it to respond to you (if I remember to check my email, which is not guaranteed). I won’t add you to a mailing list unless you explicitly ask me to. And even then, I probably won’t because I’m too lazy to set up a mailing list.
How I Protect Your Information (Or: “I Try, But I’m Not Perfect”)
I use HTTPS because it’s 2026 and that’s just what you do. My hosting provider probably has better security than I could set up myself. Beyond that, I’m not storing your personal information anywhere, so there’s not much to protect.
If you’re really worried about privacy, maybe don’t send me emails? Or use a burner email. I don’t care. I’m not going to judge you for being privacy-conscious.
Sharing Your Information (I Don’t)
I don’t share your information with anyone because:
- I don’t have your information to share
- I don’t have anyone to share it with
- That sounds like a lot of work
The only exception is if you email me something illegal or threatening, in which case I might forward it to the appropriate authorities. But honestly, if you’re doing that, you have bigger problems than privacy.
Third-Party Services
I use Rybbit for privacy-friendly analytics. It collects anonymized visit data with no cookies and no personal identifiers. See their privacy policy if you want the details.
I use GitHub to host my code (it’s open source, check it out if you want). GitHub has their own privacy policy. I don’t control what they do. If you’re concerned, read their privacy policy. I’m not going to summarize it for you.
Your Rights (Or: “What Can You Actually Do?”)
You have the right to:
- Not visit this site (totally valid choice)
- Use a VPN or privacy tools (go for it)
- Ask me questions about privacy (I’ll try to answer, but I might not know)
- Forget this site exists (probably the healthiest option)
Changes to This Privacy Policy
I might update this policy if I learn something new about privacy or if I’m feeling particularly responsible one day. But I probably won’t notify you because, again, I don’t have your contact information. Just check back here if you’re curious. Or don’t. I’m not your boss.
The Real Privacy Policy
Here’s the truth: I’m just a person with a website. I’m not trying to monetize your data or build a surveillance empire. I’m just sharing my work and thoughts. If that’s not enough for you, that’s totally fine. There are plenty of other websites on the internet.
